Ferrotungsten
DESCRIPTION: - alloy of iron and tungsten, with tungsten content between 65 and 80%.
OBTAINED: - through tungsten oxides reduction, using coke carbon in electric furnaces.
USAGE: - production of special alloy and anticorrosion steels, with strength and hardness at high temperature;
- Manufacture of cutting tools, “widia” alloys and permanent magnets.

MATERIAL SPECIFICATION: according to SR ISO 5450/1996.
CHEMICAL COMPOSITION: W 70 ÷ 85%, Si = 1.0% max, C = 1.0% max, Mn = 0.6% max, Cu = 0.25% max, P = 0.05% max, S = 0.06% max.
GRANULATION: 5 ÷ 50mm; 10 ÷ 50mm (90% min.).
PACKAGING: 250kg steel drums
