Ferrophosphorus
DESCRIPTION: - an alloy of iron and phosphorus, with phosphorus content between 15 and 28%.
OBTAINED: by phosphorus pentoxide reduction with silicon, carbon or aluminum.
USAGE: - steel deoxidation;
- it improves certain steel properties, when using phosphorus as an alloying element;
- it increases irons’ fluidity.

MATERIAL SPECIFICATION: according to STAS 7433/1977.
CHEMICAL COMPOSITION: P 22 ÷ 28%, Si = 1.0% max, C = 0.50% max, Mn = 2.0% max, S = 0.5% max, V = 0.50% max.
GRANULATION: 10 ÷ 50mm; 10 ÷ 100mm (90% min.)
