CORD Buzau - has returned to profit

In 2009, CORD Buzau, producer of copper wire and cable, controlled by Horia Pitulea, one of the owners of CUPROM Romania, recorded a 4.7 times turnover increase, up to a level of 77.4 million lei (€ 18.2 million), although in the last four years the company had accumulated businesses of 77 million lei.
Also, the company returned to profit, with a net income of 1.3 million lei (about € 317 thousand), compared to a negative 10.7 million (€ 2.9 million) recorded in 2008 .
In early 2009, CORD Buzau received orders for 4.7 thousand t. of copper products, according to half-yearly report published by BURSA and, in the first half of the year, the company sold about 2 thousand tons copper products.
Among the main clients of the company, we mention: cable producer ICME ECAB, ELECTROPLAST Bistrita, rubber producer ARTEGO Targu-Jiu and the producer of sheets and plastic profiles, ROMCARBON Buzau.
